The Family Handover Kitby Valoren
Compared · every fact read 20 October 2026

Aussie Estate Kit or The Family Handover Kit? One you fill in. One arrives filled in.

All three are a folder your family opens the week they need it. Two are sheets you complete yourself. Ours is prepared from your answers: your names, your numbers, your banks and super funds, already on the page, every official fact dated. Then printed and posted to you, at no extra charge.

We publish the Family Handover Kit, so read this as the seller's comparison. Every fact about the others is taken from their own pages, dated, with the link beside it. Where they do more than we do, it is in the table.

Who each one is for

The Family Handover Kit

You live in New South Wales, Victoria or Queensland and you want this done tonight, not started. You answer the questions once. What arrives is your family's folder, with their first call, the will's whereabouts, the banks and super funds, already written in, and the printed copy on its way.

The Aussie Estate Kit

You live outside those three states, or you want letters, a calendar and an executor's brief in the pack and you are happy to complete the sheets yourself. Three packs, A$49 to A$129.

The Estate Organiser

You want a full book to work through over time, in print or on screen, and perhaps the course or the executor's companion beside it. Their page lists 47 sections.

§3

Why the Kit is the easy choice in three states

Yours arrives done

Of the three pages we read, ours is the one product that arrives with your household already in it. Ten minutes of answers from you; a folder your family can act on from us. Nothing to work through on a Sunday afternoon, nothing left half-filled in a drawer.

Every fact carries its date

Each official line in the Kit says which body published it and the day we checked. Registries, courts, Services Australia, the ATO. When a rule changes, your family can see at a glance how old the line is. Neither of the other two pages shows a source or a date.

It shows who the free service misses

The free Australian Death Notification Service does not reach every organisation. The Kit marks, for each one you named, whether it does. Nobody finds that out on the phone, on the worst week of the year. The free register on this site does the same for 196 organisations, each dated, as a file you can download.

Printed and posted, at no extra charge

Choose it and the Kit is printed and posted to your Australian address, the PDFs still in your inbox. One price, A$59, nothing added at checkout, no subscription. Not right? Say so within 30 days and the full amount comes back.

§4

Where the others do more, so you can decide with the whole picture

They cover every state and territory. Ours covers New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, one state's edition per Kit, with nothing from another state on the page. Outside those three, the form will not take your order, and one of the other two is the right buy.

They hold more material. The Aussie Estate Kit's dearer packs add letters and a calendar. The Estate Organiser is a full book. The Kit is about eleven pages, prepared from your answers, because the week it is needed, short and already filled in is what gets used.

They have more reviews. Ours are fewer. Each one below is a named person, labelled with the edition they bought, nothing averaged.

In their words

What buyers say

Buyers of the Kit, in their own words, quoted with their permission.

Each card says which edition its buyer has: the Australian edition, bought in person, or the UK edition.

Got the Australian one, printed, in my hand at the table. Grant of probate, super, the ATO side of it. All set up for here instead of the UK. First time the paperwork matched the country I'm standing in.

Lachlan Kerr

A buyer of the Australian edition

Bought in person

Happy with it. Super and the tax dates are what nobody explains to you. State by state it goes a bit general, and probate differs depending where you are, so that could be sharper. Still better than anything I've found online.

Donna H.

A buyer of the Australian edition

Bought in person

Getting the AU Edition printed and in hand on the day made the difference. It reads for an Australian household: the dates for my state, the super and tax steps. A little more on the state-by-state probate variations and I'd call it perfect. Bought a second copy for my mother while I was standing there.

More from buyers of the UK edition

When my wife asked me to buy it I thought it would just be an overpriced empty binder. But it's actually very well structured. It takes the guesswork out of what paperwork actually matters. An unexpected bonus is that it stopped us bickering about where the house deeds and insurance policies were kept. Locked in the study safe now and sorted.

FAQ

Questions people ask before choosing

The Aussie Estate Kit's first pack, A$49, is the lowest price on the three pages we read. The Kit is A$59 and arrives prepared from your answers, with the printed copy included if you want it. The Estate Organiser is A$79 digital, A$149 printed. Three different things at three prices: read the rows, not just the numbers.

Not yet. The form will not take an order outside New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, so you cannot be charged for an edition that does not fit your state. Services Australia and the ATO apply everywhere, your own state's registry and court publish their own guides, and one of the other two products covers you.

We publish one of the three, so judge the page by its method. Every fact about the others comes from their own pages, read on 20 October 2026, with the link beside it. We give no opinion of their products and quote no one's reviews beyond a rating and a count. If a fact is out of date, tell us and it is changed.

A will says who inherits. It does not say who to call first, where the papers are, or which organisations to tell and in what order. That gap is what all three are for. The Kit is general information and a record of your own answers, not legal advice.

Yes. Ours has a 30-day money-back promise, any reason. The others state 30 days on their pages. Read each one's terms before you pay.
